Dan Geesin – Driving (1999)

The hand-made animation film Driving unfolds as an idiosyncratic road movie. As the car drives along, the driver looks around himself, surprised. Along the way he sees many different events, although he just keeps on driving past them. We see eight successive short films, presented as a strip of miniatures. Dan Geesin (England, 1970) worked out each story in honest, basic, black-and-white drawings and each of them has its own soundtrack. The events and sounds are mixed to create a whole new world.
